With eighteen years of successful wealth management and financial planning experience, Scott Chapman strives to earn a reputation throughout Connecticut as a top-tier financial services specialist.
Scott began his career with MetLife Securities in 2005 and soon thrived as a top wealth manager for his clients and coach and leader for other advisers. After seven successful years with MetLife Securities, Scott knew it was time to create his vision of a private, client-oriented, boutique financial services firm that puts clients' needs before corporate profit. With that goal in mind, Scott started Chapman Financial Partners. The slogan "Good advice should ALWAYS come from a friend!" was a simple yet concise mantra of how the firm would drive forward.
Following the lost tradition of a true coffee table adviser, Scott was determined to take the cold and impersonal nature of investment banks and insurance companies away and put the focus on where it should always be - THE CLIENT. Scott knew the only way to do that was to create a dynamic relationship model with all of his clients, where it became more than a business relationship but a friendship and partnership. Where clients felt comfortable and safe and genuinely knew their needs came before anything else.
When Scott isn't caring for his clients, he's busy in many other areas of life and community. As a veteran of the US Navy and a former submariner, Scott recently retired from the US Navy Reserves as a member of the undersea warfare community. Scott is also very active in his community, supporting the Colchester Business Association and the Colchester Lions Club, and is an elected member of Colchester's Board of Finance.
Scott and his wife Carolyn reside in Colchester, CT.
